Any use of the Occasions for All website is subject to the user agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions.
These conditions shall apply to all online transactions between Occasions for All (“Occasions for All”) and any person, firm or company (“the Purchaser”) placing an order online with Occasions for All for the manufacture and/or supply of any goods (“the Goods”). Occasions for All, by accepting any order for Goods from the Purchaser, agrees to sell and the Purchaser agrees to purchase such Goods at the price stated on Occasions for All website and on the sole basis of the terms and conditions of Occasions for All stated herein.
1. PRICE
Prices for Goods include Occasions for All standard packaging, and postage
or carriage.
In the unlikely event that an incorrect price is shown on our
website, Occasions for All reserves the right to abstain from
fulfilling the order at that price. The customer will be notified by
email informing them of the correct price, and given the choice to proceed with
the order.
2. SECURE ONLINE PAYMENT
Occasions for All provides a secure payment system. Payments can be submitted online using PayPal or there is the option to pay by card The Purchaser should see a padlock in their browser status bar which indicates that the encryption is taking place. Credit card payments can be made using Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard, Discover, American Express, and Maestro.
Goods will only be despatched once payment has been received in full.
3. DELIVERY
Occasions for All will endeavour to despatch orders within 24 hours of receipt (on week days & sat morning only). The delivery prices listed on the web site are for delivery service within the UK mainland. Delivery to the Scottish Highlands and outside the UK mainland should be between 2-7 days, depending upon the destination.
If you are the purchaser/recipient of the parcel and have been provided with a tracking number, you can check the progress of your order by using the 'Track a parcel' link on the associated website, simply put the number in to the search bar and click 'Go', Most providers have excellent online tracking capability you will know when it has been delivered.
Hermes deliveries are required to receive a signature in order to complete the delivery. Your courier will automatically make three attempts to deliver your parcel, usually on consecutive days, before returning the parcel to the depot to await further instructions. If you have missed the first attempt, they will leave a card notifying you of the next delivery date. In most cases, your courier will leave a contact number so you can get in touch directly to reschedule a delivery. Note: As the couriers are self-employed they are not obliged to leave a contact number.
We will make every effort to deliver within the time stated but we will not be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. If your gift is not delivered within the estimated delivery time which we quote, please contact us by email and we will do our utmost to ensure that your gift is received as quickly as possible.
If Occasions for All is unable to rectify the problem, having tried to make contact with the Purchaser, then the Goods will be returned to Occasions for All . Thereafter, the Purchaser will incur a re-delivery charge to deliver the Goods again at twice the original cost, since Occasions for All will have incurred a return charge by the carrier. The Purchaser will also be charged for any items which have become unsuitable for sale and need replacing.
Shortly after placing an order an we will send an email to advise
the purchaser to track their order. The purchaser will need to login to obtain a parcel tracking number which will
be available on the date of dispatch. At this point it becomes the
responsibility of the purchaser to track their parcel. If a parcel has been
delivered and signed for Occasions for All will not be alerted to any
problems. All queries must be received within 3 working days of an
expected delivery date.
3a. DELIVERY TO HOSPITALS AND HOTELS
Occasions for All need to state that deliveries to a hotel or hospital
address may not be personally delivered to the requested recipient by the courier. Occasions for All is restricted by the fact
that many deliveries which are made to hotels or hospitals are made to a
central delivery point such as the main reception, the concierge or the post
room (central delivery point). Tracking may not be available for all
deliveries. Hospital deliveries are often delivered in 'one batch of
parcels' which means individual parcel tracking is not possible.
Regrettably, it is impossible for Occasions for All to be responsible for the actions of other people working within the hotel or hospital where delivery is being made. Occasions for All's part in the delivery process has been completed once a gift has been delivered to and received by a member of the staff at the central delivery point. Occasions for All are unable to influence or control the movement or rate of movement of a parcel within the hotel or hospital, especially to determine or guarantee how quickly they will be received by the recipient. It is the responsibility of the customer to telephone the hotel or hospital before ordering to inquire about their policies.
Although Occasions for All will try to help locate a gift which has not been received by the recipient within a hotel or hospital, we consider the limit of our guarantee and involvement finishes on proof of delivery to the central delivery point, not the recipient. Should you discover that the guest will not be arriving at the hotel or hospital on the date expected, will not be arriving at all, or has moved location within the hotel or hospital, regrettably Occasions for All will not be able to take responsibility for the parcel, it will become the responsibility of the person ordering the gift to advise the hotel or hospital on what action to take regarding their parcel.
